Partner Stripe Connect
BitEasy uses Stripe Connect to pay partners directly. This page explains the onboarding process and status management.
How Stripe Connect Works

- You initiate the Stripe Connect invitation
- Partner receives an email with onboarding link
- Partner enters their details in Stripe’s hosted flow
- Once complete, they’re ready to receive payouts
Onboarding Status
Section titled “Onboarding Status”The Partners list shows Stripe onboarding status:

| Pending Setup | Amber | Partner needs to complete onboarding |

Inviting a Partner to Connect
Section titled “Inviting a Partner to Connect”- Find the partner in your Partners list
- Click the ⋮ menu
- Select Connect to Stripe
- An invitation email is sent to the partner
Partner Onboarding Experience
Section titled “Partner Onboarding Experience”When the partner clicks the email link, they’ll:
- Create a Stripe account (or log in if they have one)
- Enter personal/business information
- Provide banking details for payouts
- Verify their identity
Stripe handles all compliance and verification.
Managing Connected Partners
Section titled “Managing Connected Partners”For partners who have completed onboarding, the ⋮ menu shows Manage Stripe instead of Connect to Stripe. Clicking it resends the onboarding email, which partners can use to access their Stripe account.
Partners manage their Stripe account directly via Stripe’s dashboard to:
- Update banking information
- View payout history
- Manage their account settings
Handling Status Issues
Section titled “Handling Status Issues”Pending Setup
Section titled “Pending Setup”The partner started but didn’t finish onboarding.
Action: They need to click the link in their email and complete the form. You can resend the invitation.
Restricted
Section titled “Restricted”Stripe has restricted the account, usually because:
- Identity verification incomplete
- Business information needed
- Suspicious activity detected
Action: Partner needs to log into Stripe and provide required information. A tooltip shows additional context.
Not Connected
Section titled “Not Connected”Partner hasn’t been invited yet.
Action: Click Connect to Stripe to send the invitation.
Payout Flow
Section titled “Payout Flow”Once connected, payouts happen automatically:
- Partner earnings accrue from attributed purchases
- Daily payout cron batches eligible earnings
- Your app’s payment method is charged and a Stripe Transfer is created
- Partner receives funds in their connected account

Can partners use an existing Stripe account?
Section titled “Can partners use an existing Stripe account?”Yes. During onboarding, they can log in to an existing Stripe account instead of creating a new one.
What if a partner’s email is wrong?
Section titled “What if a partner’s email is wrong?”Update the partner’s email before sending the Stripe invitation. The invitation goes to the email on file.
How long does onboarding take?
Section titled “How long does onboarding take?”Most partners complete in 5-10 minutes. Identity verification may take 1-2 business days.
Can I pay partners without Stripe?
Section titled “Can I pay partners without Stripe?”No. BitEasy exclusively uses Stripe Connect for partner payouts. This ensures:
- Automatic tax form generation (1099/W-9)
- Fraud protection
- Compliance with financial regulations
